Our Approach to Sustainability

Enabling smarter trade to create a better future for everyone

Fadounon rehabilitation project

In embodiment of the sustainable development goals set by the United Nations and in particular the third, fifteenth and seventeenth goal, and in implementation of its specific commitments in the sustainable development program, Algeria International Port has implemented a project to rehabilitate a care center and supply a therapeutic dispensary with solar energy through the installation of solar panels And this is in the far south of Algeria for the benefit of the residents of the village of Fadnoun in the municipality of Illizi, which is inhabited by about 5,000 people, most of whom are Bedouins.

This project came to lift the isolation from the region, while ensuring the sustainability of the mobilized energy to meet the needs of citizens who are more than 200 km away from ILIZI hospitals.

Thanks to this project, we will be able to reduce congestion in central hospitals and ensure that patients are well received and managed, geographic accessibility to the health center and a less risky social and health status.

Our goals are:

  1. Improving sustainable access to healthcare for the region’s residents,
  2. Reducing disparities in geographical access to health centers,
  3. Bringing healthy structures closer to remote residents,
  4. Reducing the death rate.
