Product Development Manager

DP World as a global company is going through a solid transformation, with a wider range of business activities such as Port & Terminal Operations, Freight Forwarding, Warehousing, In-Land Barge or Rail activities and overall door-to-door trade solutions.

This transformation is giving the DP World Antwerp Commercial Team a wider radius of action with varied interactions with other logistics players, sister companies and port authorities, in addition to the traditional commercial relationships with shipping lines.

We are therefore looking for a Product Development Manager based at our Antwerp Gateway Terminal in Doel.

Your tasks

• Drive, define and manage execution of the future Reefer Services product roadmap for DP World Antwerp
• Identify customer value propositions towards addressable market and translate these opportunities into deliverable business plans, building on the physical assets and data available
• Collaborate closely with operations teams to jointly define operational parameters for products and services, including key metrics for success and revision points for refining based on continuous learning and review
• Build collaborative relationships with partners to enable ongoing dialogue on market trends, opportunities and challenges facing the market in both the short and long term
• Consider total value in play and define pricing/value exchange options to ensure value generation is shared between end users and DP World
• Establish and co-ordinate multi-functional product development teams to package operational capabilities into customer focused services encompassing physical delivery and associated data visibility/exchange
• Responsible for both project and annual budgets and for ensuring co-ordination with other key stakeholders within the organization for deployment of resources as necessary
• You will report directly to the Chief Commercial Officer of DP World Antwerp

Your profile

• You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in logistics, maritime transport or similar and have a strong interest in the maritime industry
• Ideally you have 5 years’ experience in containerized port supply chain industry. Working knowledge of container terminal operations is a bonus 
• You have previous project management experience with defining, implementing and running projects in an operationally challenging environment 
• You are fluent in English (written and spoken) and knowledge of Dutch 
• You are willing to travel 
• You have strong communication skills, you are result oriented and a problem solver
