First Vessel of 2M Consortium's Tiger/AE15 Service Calls DP World Yarımca

DP World Yarımca prouds to announce that -despite bad weather conditions- the terminal provides a fast, safe and efficient service to MSC Taranto during her first call. She is part of Tiger service, the Far East - Mediterranian service calling the terminal as being part of 2M consortium .

DP World Yarımca adds a new service to its portfolio, Tiger/AE15 of 2M consortium as it gets ready to serve customers at its state-of-the-art facility. The cooperation between 2M consortium and DP World Yarımca is consolidating with this new service.

Having capacity of 16.000+ TEUs and 366m of minimum length, the first vessel MSC TARANTO arrived the terminal on 7th of January by 09:40 P.M. and left on 9th of January by 06:05 A.M.  

Furthermore she is trading in Far East – Mediterrenean trade and average number of container exchange is around 2400 containers per call.

DP World Yarimca ensures smooth operations with its highly automated, remote-control, 23-wide cranes and is able to handle two Ultra Large Container Vessels at the same time thanks to its two berths with 16 m depth each.

Kris Adams, CEO of DP World Yarımca said: “I am very excited to welcome the first call of 2M’s new dedicated Tiger/AE15 service which will bring East and Westbound services of MSC and Maers to Yarimca terminal in Turkey. This cooperation, will enable the terminal to reach higher production targets. This new service represents the enhancement of an existing service and MSC and Maersk will receive the benefit of the strong productivity gains in the port. This new service to Yarımca has added to the momentum the port is gaining and this is just the start. It is expected that more liner services will choose DP World Yarımca in the very near future to take advantage of the significant investment, continued development of the terminal, cutting-edge technologies to manage cargo flows with automated gate solutions. The new service is expected to boost the volume at DP World Yarımca by sharing the same vision with MSC and Maersk in respect to the strategic importance of Yarımca within the Marmara network.”

The new ECS rotation will be: DP World Yarımca, Marport, Asyaport, Pireaus, King Abdullah, Jebel Ali, Singapore, Chiwan, Busan, Qingdao, Shanghai, Ningbo, Xiamen, Chiwan, Singapore and King Abdullah.
