The Boğaziçi Environment Awards

The Boğaziçi Environment Awards, one of the most prestigious environmental and sustainability awards of the year, have been decided thanks to the votes of the audience and the jury.

Our mobile game Zero The Waste, which we developed in collaboration with the Mind Your Waste Foundation and aims to increase the environmental awareness of children, was awarded the "The Most Environmentalist Mobile App of the Year" nomination!

Our environment project wins Silver Stevie

DP World Yarımca won the Silver Stevie Award for Corporate Social Responsibility in Europe with the “Minding My Waste” program, an educational project developed as part of the company’s social responsibility efforts.

The Stevie Awards, which recognizes corporate achievements in a wide variety of categories every year, is organized by the American Business Association. Attending the award ceremony in the Austrian capital, Vienna to receive DP World Yarımca’s award, CEO Kris Adams said, in his acceptance speech, “At DP world Yarimca we focus on doing our best for our customers and suppliers, concern for the environment with a determination to be leaders in terms of reducing environmental impact. Focusing on sustainability is a corporate necessity for us. It is mission critical given the current impact pollution and waste is having on our oceans and the ecosystems that need a healthy maritime environment”.

DP World Yarımca Win The Corporate Engagement Awards

DP World received a bronze medal from the Corporate Responsibility Awards for "Minding My Waste" project aimed at raising third-year students' awareness of waste.

DP World Yarımca received a bronze medal in the Best Management of a Programme category of the Corporate Engagement Awards, one of the most prestigious awards of the business world, with the project “Minding My Waste”, which was realized with the cooperation of Mind Your Waste Foundation and Kocaeli Provincial Directorate of National Education. The award ceremony was held online on November 17 due to the Covid-19 measures in England.

With the “Minding My Waste” project initiated in 2018, primary school third-grade students in Körfez district, where the port is located, and then all over Kocaeli, were trained on reducing disposable products, sorting waste, recycling and processes of waste. Within the scope of the project carried out in cooperation with the Mind Your Waste Foundation and Kocaeli University, Zero the Waste Game will be made available to all children in 2021 as a digital application. When the project is completed, it will reach 29 thousand primary school third grade students in Kocaeli region.

Making a statement for the Best Project Management award, DP World Yarımca CEO Kris Adams thanked DP World Yarımca employees who voluntarily participated in the project. Adams said “With the slogan "Our World is Our Future", we develop policies for both our employees and the environment. While doing all these, our ultimate goal is to leave a beautiful world behind.”
