DP World Academy is a training institute created by DP World to offer higher education and technical training programs within the areas of logistics, ports, maritime, and manufacturing. Through this training center, our objective is to contribute to the sustainable, economic, and social development of the various players in the supply chain.

Considering the importance of having an education program based on competencies of the industry and generating more qualified human resources, the vision of DP World Academy is to become the most advanced logistics training center in the region, whose purpose is to improve and train local and international professionals in the competencies that the industry demands.

Introduction to Terminal Operations (ITO)

This training comprises trends and changes that will probably affect the terminal´s operations in the near future, and how they can help to capitalize on the changes.

You will also have the opportunity to do the following:

• Examine the port and terminal industry and trends.

• Understand the principal costs involved in the operation of a terminal and the differences in its nature and how they can have an impact on the terminal´s performance.

• Identify strategies to influence improvement of performance of workplace safety and how they can help to promote the necessary changes.

Certificate in Terminal Operations (CTO)

Through this training you will develop an in-depth understanding of the operational engines and their influence on the terminal´s performance.

You will also have the opportunity to do the following:

• Evaluate the influence of the design of the Container Yard, the factors that uphold the capacity and use, and the cutting-edge strategies for optimization.

• Calculate the use and productivity of the dock, the demand for and performance of the crane.

• Examine the availability of resources and how to implement a focus of demand-based resource management.
